The 2014 Milwaukee Armed Forces Week, to be held Monday, May 12 – Saturday, May 17, invites the public to attend several exciting events throughout the week to show support of our troops. This year’s theme is “Forward with Dignity.”
The 33rd Annual Civic Dinner Dance will take place Thursday, May 15 at the 128th Air Refueling Wing, 1919 E. Grange Avenue. The evening will begin at 5:15 p.m. with a social hour and the dinner will follow at 6:25 p.m. The featured guest speaker will be Sgt. Maj. Tom Mielcarek, recipient of a Bronze Star. Also during the event, Retired Chief Master Sgt. Thomas Ludka will be inducted into the Air National Guard Hall of Fame. The honored civilian leader of the year and honored guest for this year’s dinner dance is Mr. Rickard Paradowski.
Patriotic music will be played by the Milwaukee American Legion Band throughout the evening. The cost to attend the dinner dance is $30 per person. To make a reservation, please call Sgt. Maj. Mielcarek at 414-944-8454. The deadline to RSVP is April 25.

Its mission is to increase public understanding of the role of the military in a democratic society as well as honor and acknowledge Milwaukee area men and women serving in the Armed Forces of the United States.
