Apparently the weather is finally starting to agree with me, and summer actually seems forseeable at this point. Which is great because I was just waiting a couple extra days to make a proper musical declaration to this (hopeful) fact. That said, the song that Chris Malinchak, a Brooklyn-born Dj and producer is getting ready to release is absolutely going to be this summer's anthem!
It's not like he's had no practice in this type of seasonal dominance having released his first summer anthem jam on last summer's "So Good to Me;" a song that went to #2 on the UK's single's chart, only to be fended off by Daft Punk's Grammy-winning resurgence. This summer there will be no one daft enough to challenge him (I think.) The jam in question was sprung on the world through BBC Radio 1's Pete Tong as his 'Essential New Tune' for the week; a scorching Michael Jackson-esque disco-funk banger called "Stranger." The track features pop hit-writer Mikky Ekko and is my early entry to the ubiquitous 'summer jam' category. Judge for yourself...
