We continue our exploration of samples used by Common, with one of my personal favorites. In 2002, Common released a remix for his song "Come Close".
This remix was crafted by the late great J Dilla, and features Pharell, Q-Tip and Erykah Badu. The sample was used by A Tribe Called Quest on the song Bonita Applebaum, on their debut album. It comes from the track "Daylight" by RAMP.
