AIGA Wisconsin Hosts Beer Label Design Competition

tmoody's picture

Have you ever notice the design of the label of a beer that you were drinking? I have.  I'm huge fan of beer and liquor labels. Some designs are simply gorgeous. Other design leaves me scratching my head.  Do you think you could design a better beer label?  Are you a home brewer that is looking for a cool label? This is your chance.

Well you have your chance, thanks to AIGA Wisconsin (American Institute of Graphic Artists).  The organization along with the Beer Barons of Milwaukee are hosting a beer label design competition called Home Brewed.

All Wisconsin homebrewers, designers, illustrators, creatives and community members age 21 or over are invited to pair up in teams to create custom craft beer and labels to be entered into the competition. A panel of celebrity judges will select best beer-label coupling based on pairing, creativity and presentation. All attendees will be able to cast their own votes for best beer-label pairing at the final event itself, where all winners will also be announced.

You have until June 6 to enter your design. Click here for all the rulesClick here for instructions on how to submit your design.  Then on June 13, there will be a final event at Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery, where judges will picked the winners and of course a chance to sample local brews.
