A deal has finally been reached in the long-running dispute between Time Warner Cable and Journal Broadcast Group. WTMJ returned to Time Warner Cable at 7pm Friday night, and had been off the air since late July.
Wisconsin's 16 technical colleges will receive a $23.1 million grant from the U.S. Department of Labor to address growing demands in the informational technology sector. The new grant will enhance the colleges' IT programs hoping to produce high-skilled workers in industry sectors such as health care and manufacturing.
A small plane was forced to make an emergency landing on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago Sunday morning. The single engine experimental aircraft had left Schaumburg before sunrise and experienced mechanical problems over downtown Chicago. The pilot said he timed his landing to the red light and landed on the drive's northbound lanes when fewer cars were on the roadway. No one was injured.
