An orphaned sea lion pup found on the Pacific coast in Santa Barbara, California has found a new home in Milwaukee. 5 month old Nalu arrived at the Milwaukee County Zoo on November 7th and will be shown in public this spring. According to the Zoo, 1,000 sea lion pups are stranded on beaches each year.

Two college students from WI were named among this year's group of 32 Rhodes scholars from the U.S.  Both students are pursuing their degrees in science. The prestigious Rhodes scholarships provide all expenses for two or three years of study at the University of Oxford in England. Info found here.

The deadline to sign up for Wisconsin's no-call list is Saturday. Anyone who signs up will receive protection from unwanted telemarketing calls starting January 1st. The free service, managed by the Wisconsin Department of Consumer Protection, is available for residential, voice over Internet and cellular phones.

High school students from schools in southeastern Wisconsin will join State Superintendent Tony Evers on Tuesday for the State's Youth Summit. This is the second year the state superintendent has held a Youth Summit to hear directly from students about their education and how it's preparing them for college and careers.
