The University of WI System will soon offer a new option for working adults who want to complete their bachelor's degree. Under the Flexible Option, students can earn credits and a degree, by testing out of subjects they've mastered. The Flex Option is aimed at helping more than 700,000 residents who have college credit but no degree, and adults who don't have time to attend classes.

The Jazz Estate on Milwaukee's East Side, originally opened in 1977, is up for sale. Current owners hope to find someone who would want to keep it The Jazz Estate and do not plan to close the bar before finding a buyer.

Apple unveiled the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C, a cheaper, plastic version of the phone available in 5 bright colors. The higher-end phones feature Touch ID, a fingerprint scanner built right into the home button. The new touch sensor will read multiple fingerprints and allow users to make iTunes purchases using their fingerprints.

UnitedHealthcare of WI has reached an agreement with a consortium of health systems in the Milwaukee area that marks another step toward giving hospitals and doctors' additional incentives to become more efficient and slow the rise in health care spending. Under the agreement, Froedtert Health, Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare and Columbia St. Mary's will join the Medical College of WI will share savings if they provide care for patients at a lower cost while meeting certain quality measures.
