The Milwaukee Post Office will offer free document shredding to residents this Tuesday, March 4th. Up to three boxes per person worth of old bank statements or other unneeded mail with personal info, will be accepted at their main branch at 345 W. Saint Paul Ave, from 9 to Noon. PROSHRED, a document destruction company will be on hand with a mobile shredding truck. Last year, they shredded 9,500 pounds of paper at this event.

Milwaukee World Festival, Inc officials announced that Outkast will headline Summerfest at the Marcus Amphitheater on Sunday, June 29th. Special guest opener for the show....Gary Clark Jr.

The BMO Harris Bradley Center will implement a small increase in the facility fee for tickets to sporting events at the downtown Milwaukee sports and entertainment facility starting with the 2014-15 season. Although the fee increase is nominal (25 cents for tickets priced at $12 or less and 40 cents for tix over $12), the additional income will help address the building's continued economic challenges as the community continues to develop a long-term solution for the aging arena.

In a blunt warning to Afghan President Karzai, President Obama threatened to withdraw all U.S. troops from Afghanistan by the end of the year if a crucial security pack isn't signed. The U.S. military has also drawn up blueprints for a full withdrawal. More info on the situation found online here.
