Saturday marks the 50th Anniversary of the Veterans Day Parade supporting our troops and honoring our veterans in Downtown Milwaukee. The parade route will start at the corner of Wells and Plankinton at 11am. More info online....

The end of an era...Blockbuster announced the closing of their last 300 U.S. based retail stores and distribution centers.  Blockbuster will continue its On Demand streaming service and its home brand to DISH customers.

Milwaukee Zine Fest will take place on Saturday from 11 to 5pm at the Falcon Bowl. Zines (short for magazine or fanzine) are self-published, hand made booklets covering a wide range of subjects. Zine fest includes over 40 vendors and workshops for adults and kids. Info found online

The U.S. Cellular Arena will host the International Women's Flat Track Derby Association Championships this weekend. About 200 skaters are expected to compete. Milwaukee's Brew City Bruisers, are not competing, but will welcome teams from around the country as they compete to take home the HYDRA trophy.
