As we continue to explore the music of Bill Withers, today we listened to Bill's biggest hit; "Lean On Me." Written and recorded by Bill Withers, it was released in April 1972 as the lead single from his second album, Still Bill. It was his first and only number one on both the soul singles and the Billboard Hot 100.  This song has been covered by many artists over the years, but today, we looked at how this track was sampled.

In 1989, the film LEAN ON ME, starring Morgan Freeman, featured a soundtrack of Hip Hop and Soul.  One of the songs on the soundtrack, was Big Daddy Kane's "Rap Summary (Lean On Me)".
